WordPress Sets Up Wellbeing Hubs To Support The Mental And Physical Health Of Its Users

WP&UP #PressForward Campaign is a new campaign launched by industry leaders WordPress. The aim is to help support members of the community with some of the challenges they face as they run their business.

Formed in 2003, WordPress is one of the webs biggest content management system for blogs and websites. It is used by individuals, businesses, and developers all around the world, with about 30% of all the sites online using the platform.

The UK has witnessed an increase in the number of self-employed people working from home in recent years. Currently, about 6% of the workforce works from home, with this number is set to increase year on year. This has also corresponded with an increase in people working from home facing mental health problems like isolation and depression.

WP&UP has set up 4 health hubs to help attack these issues. They are the code health hub, the business heath hub, the physical health hub, and the mental health hub. Through these hubs, relevant support will be provided via coaching, mentorships, in-person events and host of other methods.
